Shopify store audit

A Shopify store audit that reads your store like a shopper.

Two layers. A public storefront check anyone can run in minutes, and a connected operational audit that walks your full catalog for the silent gaps that break orders after checkout.

Free · No install · Results in minutes

Free · Beta · Read-only

  • Free to use, in beta.
  • The free check reads only your public storefront. No access to your store required.
  • The connected audit uses Shopify's official read-only permissions. Storecheck can look, never write, place orders, or change anything.

Most Shopify audits stop at the theme. Storecheck starts with what a shopper sees, then goes underneath to the customs, shipping, and fulfillment data that decides whether an order actually ships.

The free check reads your homepage, a sample of products and collections, and your shipping and refund policies. The connected audit paginates every product and variant through the Shopify Admin API with read-only access, and compares your enabled markets against the shipping zones and fulfillment locations that back them.

You get a plain verdict: how many issues block orders, how many cost money, how many hurt trust. Then a "fix these first" list with exact fields to change.

What we check

  • Storefront consistency

Contradictory copy, price and currency mismatches, expired promotions still live, policy pages that disagree.

  • Customs and duties readiness

HS codes, country of origin, and weights on every variant, checked for presence and plausibility.

  • Shipping coverage

Enabled markets cross-checked against real shipping rates and fulfillment locations.

  • Fulfillment reality

Every sellable product has a live, connected fulfiller. Ghost products left by dead dropshipping apps are surfaced.

  • Identifiers and supplier data

SKUs, barcodes, GTINs, vendor and maker fields, complete and consistent across variants.

  • Your house rules

Plain-language brand rules enforced on every page we scan.

Example finding

One real check, rendered the way it appears in a report.

European Union market enabled with no shipping rates

13 EU countries are set to sell, but no shipping profile covers them. Checkout fails silently for every EU shopper.

Markets → European Union: active, 13 regions, 0 rates.

Fix

Either add a shipping profile that covers the EU, or trim the market to countries where a supplier can actually deliver.

Common questions

What does a Shopify store audit actually check?

Storecheck runs two layers. The free public check reads your homepage, a sample of products and collections, and your shipping and refund policies, flagging contradictions a shopper would notice. The connected audit goes deeper: customs data, shipping coverage, tax setup, identifiers, and fulfillment locations across your entire catalog.

Is the store connection safe?

Yes. The connection uses Shopify's own approval screen with read-only scope. Storecheck can read products, markets, shipping profiles, and locations, and cannot change anything in your admin. You approve the access on Shopify's site and can revoke it at any time.

How is this different from a theme or speed audit?

Theme audits stop at what renders in the browser. Storecheck audits the operational data underneath: the HS codes, weights, origins, rates, and fulfillment wiring that decide whether an order ships cleanly after the customer pays. Most stores we check look fine on the surface and have gaps underneath.
